Day one of the Event Rider Masters series has gone off with a bang at the Dodson & Horrell Chatsworth International Horse Trials. Forty competitors from nine nations took to the stage in today’s dressage phase. For the first time in Eventing the dressage ran in seeded order giving us a thrilling day of competition. The sun shone and the crowds were three deep around the arena as the riders chosen music played over the on-site speakers. The leader overnight is Kitty King on Ceylor L A N who scored an impressive 32.9 and holds a 3.7 point lead over Aoife Clark and Fernhill Adventure. But the quality of the field is so great that twelve combinations scored under 40 penalties and just 6.5 penalties split the top ten. The live stream was a huge success with 35 nations following the movement-by-movement scores on screen in real-time as they watched the action unfold accompanied by expert commentary from our team. Tomorrow’s show jumping phase starts at 10.30am and will run in reverse order. The live stream will be on air at 10.15am and the registration process has been simplified to make viewing even easier.
