A nail biting show jumping phase at Leg 3
This morning’s show jumping produced just thirteen clears from thirty-six starters with the leader board having a good shake up before this afternoons cross country test.
Andrew Nicholson, the King of Barbury, looks set to continue his domination of the 3* class sitting at the top of the leader board but only 0.9 penalties separates him from our dressage leader Marcio C Jorge riding Lissy Mac Wayer on a score of 40.5 with Rebecca Howard representing Canada sitting close behind on 42.2.
A couple of noticeable combinations fell foul of the twisty show jumping course including Sir Mark Todd and Francis Whittington who have both dropped out of contention.
Gemma Tattersall looks poised to take the series leader position from Astier Nicholas, continuing her spectacular 2016 form.
So take a seat and get comfortable for what we expect to be a nail biting conclusion to Leg 3, live streaming from 3.15pm today.
