The Biebrich Palace was built in 1702 by Prince Georg August Samuel of Nassau-Idstein and from 1816 until 1866, it served as the ducal residence for the independent Duchy of Nassau. The structure, with two pavilions and a circular ballroom in the exact center, was designed by the Baroque architect Julius Ludwig Rothweil. The Schloss Park gardens were designed by landscape architect Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell in 1817 at the request of Duke Wilhelm of Nassau.
The Event Rider Masters competitors will be privileged to gallop amongst the historic trees during the Cross Country phase.
